Around the world with Street View

Imagine yourself walking around to various locations in the world without any effort thinking about all the details of travel plans should be prepared by a traveler. Who thought this could happen?

Street View is a feature that is created and released on May 25, 2007 by Google is available on Google Maps and Google Earth that provides panoramic views from positions along many streets in the world.

Once this facility is further expanding to remote areas that are difficult to achieve, Cambridge Bay, a village in the territory of Nunavut, Arctic region covered with 1,500 residents and several highways, Cambridge Bay and Nunavut in Canada store historical narratives and cultural heritage of thousands of years old.

As quoted from The Verge, Karin Tuxen-Bettman of Google Earth team on the official Google blog said that they will hold a mission to tell the story and build the most comprehensive map of the region.

Nunavut Tunngavik, a nonprofit organization that helps the mission is accomplished and Chris Kalluk as representative to host the event.

Internet users who use the Street View facilities will sense an opportunity virtual streets to get there, as if we were riding a tricycle on the cobbled streets of Cambridge Bay, capture the surrounding landscape.

Street View devices mounted on a tricycle as presented on the site will be able to see the images appear after zooming in beyond the highest zooming level in maps and satellite images, and also by dragging a "Pegman" icon onto a location on a map. By using Google Maps, users can turn on steroscopic 3D mode by right-clicking in Street View to get an anaglyph version of any Street View images.

Around the world even if only through a virtual facility though remains a special experience, to Paris, San Francisco, until Tokyo.

Facilitate anyone including virtual travelers to one day be able visit in person. Of course!
